The Breve Reference is a design breakthrough in terms of the sonic gains you achieve and real world gains in dollar value. Of course, our expectations of sonic gains sit at the very extreme end of audio performance, and our design challenges are firmly set to deliver an outstanding performer with an aesthetic character that will enhance the finest systems.

Breve Reference isolation platforms are comprised of a tuned CLD (Constrained Layer Dampening) filtering system and a chambered damping compound. The result is a unified system that protects components from floor, rack, and airborne vibrations, and filters out mechanical vibrations from the component itself.

The Breve Reference chassis is hand-made in the USA, finished by a master wood craftsman with real hardwood finishes.

The Breve Reference is our crown achievement for attaining superlative performance at a reasonable cost. To wit, this model surpasses the performance of competitors costing much more than its base price. Moreover, performance gains using a Breve Reference isolation platform benefit all systems, and the improvements are immediate and obvious.

When designing an isolation platform, there are multiple challenges that arise. The primary, in many instances, is satisfying the requirements set forward in absorbing and mitigating a broad spectrum of vibrations that have deleterious sonic affects on sensitive electronics. This can be achieved through many means, however the final result often falls short of the intended result: consistently offering up the pristine, emotional, and engaging musicality that a satisfying audio system should facilitate.

The culprit is what’s not discussed along the myriad of specs that include multiple conduits and insulators, various frequency absorbing conversion materials, and so on. It’s the implementation of materials and their consequent tuning that makes music.

Like an exquisitely designed loudspeaker, exotic tube amplifier, or an oh-my-god turntable, its performance is not nearly just the sum of a bin of expensive parts. They are designed and built with an ear for how their components create music. And, that’s the basis upon which we clear the effects of vibration away from your system.

Our isolation platforms highlight no particular element in the music, thereby keeping balance. They dramatically increase clarity by significantly lowering the noise floor and reducing distortion. Dynamics are realistic and not exaggerated; bass is cleaner, tighter, and more soulful; subtle and significant details become pristine and harmonious with the musical presentation; dimensionality and soundstaging is uncanny. Music is now mesmerizing, like the first time you fell in love with what high end audio can do.
